A slug to cheer for
The kids, 7, 4, and 2 years old, all loved the book.
And as a weary parent it’s a nice departure from the usual bunny rabbit or princess protagonist.
I hope more slug stories will be coming soon.
A toast to Munsch
Salmon on toast is a great read for all ages! I couldn’t help but get a Munsch toasting Seuss (while waiting for a rescue boat) vibe while reading it (with a Pug twist). The illustrations are fantastic! Highly recommended. Look forward to more books by the author and illustrator!
Entertaining and funny!
Very funny story, written with short rhymes that are simple for a young child to follow. My son is 3 1/2 and was focused the whole time, and the ending was especially hilarious. I wasn’t sure on first reading the summary about a slug being the protagonist but I have to say, it’s nice to have a book that’s not about dinosaurs or diggers!!
